Isabella “Bella” Ann Harvey

Isabella is an associate lawyer at Jain Immigration Law.
 
Isabella practices in all areas of Canadian immigration and refugee law, including refugee protection, humanitarian and compassionate consideration applications, spousal sponsorships, and the judicial review process of negative decisions. She has worked closely with clients before the Refugee Protection Division and Refugee Appeal Division, with a focus on trauma-informed support for individuals facing gender-based persecution, torture, and systemic discrimination.
 
Before joining Jain Immigration Law, Isabella articled in refugee and immigration law after volunteering at the Refugee Centre in Montreal. She also held legal and policy roles at different levels of government as well as at regulatory and human rights organizations, conducting policy analysis, legal research, statutory interpretation, and human rights advocacy.
 
Isabella earned her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from McGill University, as well as a master’s in political science from the University of Toronto. Her practice reflects a commitment to principled, client-centered advocacy and access to justice for both migrants and refugees.
