Electronic Travel Authorizations (eTAs)
Electronic Travel Authorizations (eTAs): US citizens and Green Card holders do not need a visa or eTA to enter Canada but all other visa-exempt citizens must obtain an eTA. The good news is that these applications can be submitted online very quickly. Having said that, if you’re unsure how to answer the questions asked, it’s important that you get proper legal advice because making a mistake could lead to a 5 year bar.
Visitor Visas
Visitor Visas: To visit Canada for up to 6 months from a visa-requiring country, it is necessary to apply for a Temporary Residence Visa. You will need to demonstrate significant ties to your home country, such as showing that you have a solid job to return to, own property in your home country and are leaving behind very close family members. You will also need to demonstrate you have sufficient funds for your visit.
Here you can find a list of entry requirement by your country.
Super Visas
These visa are for parents and grandparents. Applicants have to pass an immigration medical and must purchase private medical insurance (from a Canadian or foreign company). The ‘sponsor’ must show that they meet basic income requirements and then once the parent or grandparent arrives, they may stay for up to 5 years at a time (the previous maximum was 2 years).
Visa Refusals
If your case has been refused once or multiple times, we may be able to secure the visa for you after obtaining the internal notes of the officer. In some cases, we advise an appeal.
