Immigration Lawyers for The Rural and Northern Pilot
The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is a community-driven immigration program intended to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities.
Eligibility Requirements for Immigrant Applicants:
- Support from one of 11 communities (contact us at [email protected] so we may provide the current list)
- Qualifying work experience of one year in the last three: 1,560 hours are required; work experience can be obtained here or abroad; breaks in employment are acceptable and employment can be with multiple employers (and recent graduates may be except from the work experience requirement)
- Community support: a recommendation is required from the community based on the applicant’s job offer relative to the community’s needs, work experience, ties to the community and intention to live there.
- Meet language requirements: for NOC O/A: Canadian Language Benchmark of 6; for NOC B: Canadian Language Benchmark of 5; for NOC C: Canadian Language Benchmark of 4
- Show settlement funds (unless you’re already working under a work permit in Atlantic Canada)
